Motorola's ultra-popular, ultra-lightweight and ultra-thin clamshell Razor (RAZR) cell phone has, since 2007, seen an addition to its line with the new Razor cell phones that have come on the market. These all fall under the new Razor 2 line of Razor cell phones from Motorola.

The Razor 2 comes in three models that are almost identical, namely the Razor 2 V8, Razor 2 V9m and RAZR2 V9. The Razor 2 is two millimetres thinner than the original Razor (which was 89 x 53 x 13.9 millimetres). Here are some comments on these new Razor cell phones:

For further convenience, the Razor 2 has buttons on the side of the phone for quick access to common applications on the phone.

Running on a Linux-based interface the new Razor phone's software is a big step forward compared to the older Motorola interfaces. Each Razor 2 model has different memory options as well as color options. Razor 2 V8 - Colors: Blue, Grey. Memory: 512MB or 2GB on board memory.
Razor 2 V9 - Colors: Mahogany, Black. Memory: 50MB on board, MicroSD support of up to 8GB.
Razor 2 V9m -Colors: Sand, grey.

I am not going to shower praise upon the RAZR phone. I'm just going to say that I've had cell phones of almost all known manufactures in my life. Besides the software of this phone makes it one of the best cell phones.

I spent quite a time looking at this RAZR phone. All doubt fell away when I saw this phone in someone's hands in a subway. It is a prestigious phone! RAZR phone V8 is a flip phone. There is a 2-megapixel camera unit above the display. Its inner display is of 2.2 inches and has 240x320 resolution. There is a speaker above the display.

The keypad of the phone is made of a one-piece metal plate with horizontal slits. The navigational key unit consists of a 5-positional key, two soft-keys and send/end keys. There are also a player quick key and a previous menu key. All the keys are big, convenient and white-light illuminated.

There is only one quick button for voice menu of the cell phone on the right side of the case. It's much easier to take an RAZR phone V8 and try it out. Then it retains charge for 3-4 days. The case is solid. Some people complain that their mobiles work slower while receiving a call. It has never happened to my RAZR phone. However in general RAZR phone is marvelous! Everything works wonderfully.
